Buyer
About your role
As a Buyer, you are responsible for the entire purchasing process. You maintain relationships with existing suppliers and, together with your colleagues, find new partners. You act as a link between departments and provide essential information about prices and items. You continuously improve delivery times and inventory management by actively maintaining contact. With your strong personality, solution-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm, you inspire colleagues and others around you. Therefore, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new suppliers;
- Following up on operational purchasing needs and determining the strategic purchasing;
- Price and contract negotiations with suppliers;
- Monitoring processes and agreements with suppliers.
Your profile
You are an independent doer with the right amount of courage and drive to achieve the objectives. Additionally, you possess a good dose of negotiation skills and stand strong in your position. You are proactive and not sensitive to stress. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in:
- You have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position as Buyer;
- You are enthusiastic, driven, and very proactive;
- You have experience in the packaging industry, primarily in cardboard;
- You have analytical thinking skills and the ability to use data to support decisions;
- You have strong communication skills and are a real team player.
- You have a good command of the Dutch, German, and English languages, both spoken and written.
